Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

At my new job, they notice workload

So I left Allstate about 8 months ago. I am at another major carrier doing somewhat similar claims. For the last 2 months I have been slammed with new claims, more than other team members, due to regional assignment and personnel issues. Today they told me my hard work was noticed and appreciated. I was assured new bodies were soon coming to lighten the load. And then the unthinkable happened- I am being given a substantial bonus as a thank you for being a team player! This bonus is on top of regularly scheduled year end bonuses. They want to keep me! My old Allstate manager would have told me to “make a plan” and get used to the workload.

I work at progressive in sales and make much more than I did as an underwriter at Allstate.. I made pennies there.

Much happier too.

Hey #1 TW Fanboi - you don’t know what you are talking about! My experience is positive- they gave me a bonus and lowered my inventory, then told me they acknowledged my experience and want to keep me. Sorry your experience with your company was negative but mine thus far is great.

Lol, just LOL, tell Prog I said hi. BTW, there is never “help on the way” and they WILL keep loading you up now that they know they can. Funny I got a raise my first 4-5 months after I started there even though I sucked at claims at the time. They have been saying “new bodies” are coming since I worked there 14 YEARS AGO. Just wait a year, then it will be time to “talk about these metrics” after they overload you to the breaking point L-O-L. That’s how corporate works BOYO!

It is nice to see that you are being properly compensated for what you are asked to do….
The sc-m at Allstate will only allow a maximum of 75 percent of what THEY say that the job is WORTH…
