Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Read the 8k on Gibbons

Now that it's public, perhaps the post won't be taken down!

Why are we treating him with kindness internally and saying he retired?? He was ruthless and never showed one ounce of respect for anyone in FIG. He was fired, relieved of his duties... Whatever. Retired gives him the dignity he never gave any one else. DISAPPOINTING announcement! We were clear on Jenn and the others. Why not him?

@1aj Super valid points and I agree. HOWEVER, he got to write his"exit" memo, sit on a town hall, make client calls, attending Forum ... all saving his nasty face and he is smiling all the way to the bank. SO - WHY WHY let him go to Forum?? WHY let him meet with clients??? BE DONE and I PROMISE YOU 20,000 FIG associates would CHEER and jump for joy!! He is still here, still in meetings - THIS IS THE DISAPPOINTING PART! Get him and his cronies OUT!

Unless there is actual cause -- and the head of HR was original Fiserv's employment lawyer, and has an established knack for these situations -- it is a lot cleaner to give the departing soul something tangible in exchange for terminating their employment agreement early. Without cause, the guy could and probably would have litigated his departure, but as long as he got something of value in exchange for his "sacrifice" the company is on much better legal ground and won't have to drag this out any further. Just making it go away....

It takes effort to get 99.9% of your employees to dislike and down right hate a person. Ive been inthis industry for 45 years never heard 1 person say something nice. So many good people left because of him.

You would think we could terminate for him for code of conduct violations and get him out of here NOW!

"Item 5.02.

Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

On August 25, 2025, Fiserv, Inc. (the “Company”) determined that JG, Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group (“Current Position”) of the Company, would assume the role of Senior Advisor and cease to serve in his Current Position effective on that date. The Company expects Mr. G to serve as a Senior Advisor until February 28, 2026. With this transition, the Company determined that AG would assume the role of Head of the Financial Institutions Group, having previously served as Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group with Mr. G. "

Six month "working" severance on top of whatever else is in his golden parachute. Maybe he needs a little more time for his bonuses to vest?

As terrible as he was, and the wreckage he would leave behind everywhere he went, it amazes me it took this long for him to go.
