Speaking up about issues just makes things worse. People who try to raise concerns always end up with even more problems, and HR does nothing to help (anybody but the bank, of course). Nothing ever changes because everyone has learned to just stay quiet.

I used to be rewarded and applauded for being a Voice of Reason on my team.
But with current management, the message is clear. STFU and just Do What You're Told.
I tried, but it's totally against my nature and upbringing.
Imagine this is what the Fall of Rome looked like heading into the End Days.
So, I left.
I don’t speak up anymore simply because I couldn’t care less if this place completely falls apart and burns to the ground. F’it. I don’t get paid enough to care anyway. I hardly get paid enough to do my job, which has turned into a miserable experience surrounded by absolute id--ts who used to annoy me, but now I find entertaining to watch them f’up left and right.
I have noticed that whenever someone speaks up in a meeting, they get assigned more work. "Start keeping track of that issue and give me a full report". It's funny when the leader isn't sure about an answer and they say they'll follow up. The question is never brought up again after that. Once they started saying that the most common comments on the survey were about improving "processeees" and efficiency, it was pretty obvious that we were being lied to
My favorite is when I do my "Due diligence" and bring awareness to an issue to leadership and get dismissed. In a few weeks or months down the line, I hear my own words coming from that same leader as if it was their own...😂 Gas lighting at its best.
But they have a section on Flagscape called "Speak Up"...where they supposedly want your feedback.
