RTO is slated to start from next Monday, has anyone actually been mandated to be present in the office by their direct manager or has it died a quick death as usual?

@aa did they really build that spreadsheet? It sounds very dxc...
@ag "Best Efforts", roflol.
How much does it cost per hour for a helicopter?
I’m on the south coast, my manager is in Cumbria and his manager is in Yorkshire so we’ve come to an understanding that we make ‘best efforts’ to get into an office when we can, irrespective of whether anyone else on the team is there at the same time.
I think Derek understands this but I would imagine he’ll have to send to send out another set of reminder emails to show willing.
Usual bollocks from leadership with zero understanding of DXC reality. They've made a token gesture to create a few more desks, but there's no money for travel, so all it's done is stress managers who know come the first leadership call they will get it in the neck for not implementing the great plan. Which is probably why there was that laughable exercise to enter staff's distance from an office in to Excel.
If our customers, partners or competitors knew the truth of how fu---d up DXC is they'd either leave or laugh.
Lots of fanfare at the time and then complete silence. They cannot afford to pay for our travel in/out, it will not be approved, not that I had any intention of going in the first place as the mail was very clear it was optional.
I've heard nothing and I have no plans to be in-office.
