Are you new? Re org is code for moves and cuts. Of course people will be let go
No layoffs expected. Business is improving, we are gaining market share and stock is getting higher.
We still have some extra head count that need to be adjusted. I’m looking forward to a busy lively campus again just like pre-COVID
@ag no , stop fear mongering. This is the reorg deployment of resources to new orgs funded by the divestment in the recent lay offs. We don’t anticipate massive cuts, this isn’t a cost cutting exercise it’s a fix the stupid decisions of JD because we lost market share when we lost shelf space after moving out of wholesale decision. We are a product company, not a tech and DTC company. Expect decisions to be made accordingly.
Um, this will be the continuation of a bunch of layoffs in May and June. June saw over 400 people gone. More to come.
Cuts are a way of life at Nike. Reorg or no reorg.
It will be very light layoffs. Not a bloodbath.
Plenty of people have seen their positions quietly eliminated or voluntary departed from Nike during the past 8 months.
Unfortunately for Nike, plenty of talents and highly experienced folks left Nike.
100% there will be some roles eliminated. How many is completely unknown except for those higher up making the decisions. Worrying is natural and hard to shut that part of your brain off. As many people have stated before, the only thing anyone can do is focus on the parts of your life you can actually influence. Look to minimize your monthly expenses, save more, update your resume, research the job market and understand your goals for the future as best you can.
