Last minute meeting invites went out for tomorrow from Hari "the axman" govind. Zoom call for 0930. Rumors of inperson 0900 meetings, but cant confirm. Anyone have more info?

How much money will BNSF have to shell out for their H1B employees?
@e1 This must be one of Hari's buddies or Hari himself. The ones laid off were never asked to code a "hello world" app - so how do you know what they can and can't do? Go back to wherever you came from and stop spewing Hari's propaganda here.

Better pay, a full team to work with, managers who understand the bs we have to put up with and will support us with whatever we need.
@fs And the whole "bootcamp" and "assessment" that you were supposed to take have been walked back and aren't being done. Guy at the top is one of the most narcissistic and egotistical mo--ns that I've ever seen in my life. If you got laid off - take the severance and run from that toxic environment. It's cronies. You deserve better. That place doesn't deserve you.

@dp what's the problem with going to your manager and telling them you need a boot camp like Hari said? In the current environment it should be of no concern to speak up and ask for help 😬
Anyone bring up the fact that the railroad is critical infrastructure to America and yet the company seems to be high jacked by Indian contractors, coders, and leadership and VPs. Talk about a national Security risk.

The people that are upset about getting laid off are people that can’t code a hello world app - that’s why you got laid off. This has been the direction communicated for over 6 months. Did you make the move into the engineering space? Learn to code? Probably not... It happened, you knew this was coming… hopefully you all prepared to be elsewhere. Good luck

9:30am group did nothing to help the unease. Bootcamps were walked back. There is zero trust in Hari’s word nor should there be.
We are at the whims of a guy who flexes his boat on LinkedIn of all places.
100% confirmation 9am = layoff. other meeting was to tell everyone else it happened. typical hari fashion - throw darts to pick people without understanding anything at all. this is now a good old boys network where he can bring in his cronies who are just as clueless to "transform" the department by running it into the ground. he's going to end up getting someone ki-led with his stupid mistakes
After 27 years working at bnsf hari just came in and destroyed lives in 10 min.

They got rid of emesa for ordering and it’s went to cr-p after that.
Both meetings are remote. 9am will be the layoff meeting probably hosted by someone else other than Hari bc he doesn’t like to get his hands dirty with these things. 9:30 will be Hari saying he’s had to make the tough decisions to do more layoffs, let’s make sure we treat these people with respect, but we are ready to focus on building the next great thing at Bnsf tech. 9am only has ~60 people. 930am has ~500 people. You do the math. Hari is cutting people who were the only ones maintaining things.
