Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Can WF change my remote status and not tell me?

I have been a remote worker for many years. My classification today shows I have been changed to an on-site employee working at a Wells Fargo advisors building which I was told was never an option for me to work at. Are things changing? And why didn’t they tell me this? Note: There are no hubs or branches in my state.

The change came on Saturday with an org change and title change. Has been a week and still showing the WFA building for me. I want my remote status back!

Before you panic, give it a day and see if it flips back. Mine did a couple of weeks ago.

Well, the first step you should take is to ask your manager, not this site

If working from an Advisors location were possible, it would make my commute a total of 15 minutes a day. Instead, currently, my round-trip commute time is 2 hours and 40 minutes a day.
Note: I work with nobody in my building, so nothing would change business-wise.

Yes they can and they will. They will also put you in a list and you will be told around noon on the day your getting let go.
