I used to work at Oracle and seeing this is just heartbreaking. The constant worry about layoffs while I was there made it impossible to focus and drained everyone’s energy. I feel for all the people affected this time. It’s better to plan your next step and move on before it catches up with you.

Reality is that no one is safe unless you are Larry Ellison, Safra Catz, or a few other well-connected VP's in the company. You are just a number in the big realm of things to the company, and you have to acknowledge that job security is an illusion
I totally agree with and feel empathy with people anxious with that situation not knowing what the next day brings to them... I am a former worker and I did the step out from O. - the best decision in my life. I was so drained out and frustrated there, that only leaving this toxic place was the only rescue for my mental health and career growth.
