Managers these days just hover over you to ensure you sell every little bit of stuff. They are willing to slam perks to customers without finding a need. There is no trust with that kind of micromanaging. There is no integrity in that kind of managing. Employees feel like there is no trust anymore. In this kind of environment it seems the management has no trust either. Why can we not coach to a result? Why must we be micromanaged?

@299 so is BriC
I don’t know bout you all but HayC is incompetent… what qualifications does she have to lead a territory, horrible hire
@f3 Sounds like you can't handle pressure. Maybe you should look into a career change. I'm sure nothing will come of you with Verizon with you anger issues. You don't sound like a team player. People that always blame others instead of coming up with ideas are a dime a dozen. And you are a gross.
Giving away stuff left and right and it’s still not the best sales month of the year for direct. Why KZ is being extended I’ll never understand.
@er a--hole, I was speaking about managers being able to handle pressure and lead effectively, learn how to read.
@b9 Hey Genius... what company isn't result based!! Employees should still be able to expect that we get treated with respect and not beat down daily. Is this how you treat your family? Bad leaders lead badly. The culture of the company starts with 1:1 relationship with employee:leader. Too bad too many of the people we have to listen to are managers and not leaders.
Unfortunately some cannot handle pressure, and there’s a ton of it in retail. We are a results based company, how do you get results, you translate a message from the ivory tower on Verizon in a way that motivates and inspires, not leading by fear or accountability. That people first mentality is lost now, it’s sad.
Because the people we've put in leadership positions are not actually leaders and micromanaging is what one does when not capable of leading people and managing work
I slam I get fired. I sell to the needs of the customer I'm demeaned for not slamming. Weird culture.
The wicked shall one day face their demise.
Its a cr-p company. That's why. They wont change. Scroll back 5 years on layoffs. Same cr-p slamming and micromanaged culture. Slam or leave.
