Have seen a rapid increase of Unisys dispatches in all field areas, US. Looks as if the plan going forward will be to outsource all field service work to partners. Anyone have confirmation on the ongoing progress and planning for this? Is March 2026 realistic?

I surprised this has not already happened. I left three years ago because I felt this was the direct field service was headed.
Some of the EMC Field personnel were at EMC for decades. Customers loved them and came to depend on them when things went wrong.
EMC had some of the best Customer Service field people. They were very well trained.
That's sad to hear. Service still has some great folks from Data General and EMC. Great technical abilities and strong sense of urgency.
Until they fubar something else. Use that thing in your cranial cavity and think through that for a minute. That wont work (hint, dell tried that before too.)
Dell management is too stupid to to handle this at the field level. The problem lies with dell simply being "too big to fail".
@dr just issue unisys with dell badges, problem solved lol.
Dell tried this before. It got so bad customers wouldn't even let me in the door unless I showed them my dell badge.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I have several accounts that do not allow unisys techs on site because their massive f-kups.
These partner groups are totally a$$. Unisys is the worst.
I’ve seen a few DellTeam ones under one of field managers. Yes, it’s happening and looks like it will not affect the managers that were not demoted to ICs as they will manage them. Just like professional services and project managers are working with partners as well.
Once the partner FSEs made a very big mess with one of the installs and our manager was not bothered and actually was on their side. That was the moment I understood that everything stinks.
I’ve heard rumours about it for a long time.
Unfortunately it makes sense. They’re lower cost. Dell badged is usually better quality but not by a lot.
