Based on who is getting riffed and who is not, exactly how many of the leadership at this company is 'on the take' from their subordinates??? I see so many employees basically getting away with m_urder, that I have a hard time believing just covering for the manager and k_ssing their a__ is getting them that much leniency. With crypto so popular now, that surely makes being 'on the take' harder to detect. Any thoughts???

@14. I agree with you, I am not that smart, this I know. Yet I've been promoted at this company and told I'm smart.
@12k And yet you work here? How do you know you are the smartest person in the room? Maybe your just to d-mb to realize you aren’t the smartest in the room.
This industry seems to attract lower IQ employees. I hate being the smartest person in the room. I used to be the d-mbest person in the room before I came here.
I would be surprised if associates are actually paying (crypto)currency as tribute to their managers. What I have seen occur is associates taking on personal, non-Elevance Health tasks for their managers in order to curry favor. Think things such as personal shopping, running errands, providing complementary tickets to concerts and sports, giving ego massages, etc.
here as in US.
It is actually common to pay a fee in Asian countries to land better roles and see competitions not getting assignments, this culture is already here.
The OP here - I have worked elsewhere where leadership was caught skimming from employees, contractors and/or contracting firms and were fired. I have been noticing similarities since arriving at this company a few years ago and was wondering. I can believe some are not that sophisticated here and some could not afford it even if management was demanding it, but there are others that could afford it and would partake if the opportunity was presented.
Not a chance. These guys are not that sophisticated. It's just d-mb blind greed here,
This is a bizarre take. Are you claiming that employees are bribing management with crypto? So people receiving worthless raises and a fraction of their bonus somehow have enough money to buy crypto and give it to their managers so they can keep their undercompensated jobs?
If i had money to burn on investing in crypto, I wouldn't be working here, much less bribing my boss to avoid being riffed.
Clownish take.
@OP Who knows at this place. Most management does not appear to have high ethics and morals and some appear to be spending way beyond what their compensation would accommodate, so it wouldn't surprise me if some were doing it.
@OP there are whole teams getting away with mu---r - there are tons of Directors and SVP doing the same - "on the take with cryto" - seriously - same ole same ole - cr-ppy leadership, favoritism, etc.
