The company was already struggling, and now low morale and disengaged employees are making everything worse. What the he-l happened to this place?

Couldn’t tell you. I’m very happy in my role and I’m under incredible leadership and performing at 200%. Maybe you’re in the wrong department. Consider looking outside your area
The people leading and working at the company have made the wrong moves at a time when the economy is contracting and this industry in particular is floundering. That's what the issue is broadly speaking.
Greedy executives. That’s what happened.
What happened? We’ve hired the wrong people. Many in leadership but just as many in the ranks. There are so many people who just do not work. Too much of that and productivity slows to a crawl. We are all hyper dependent on each other, so when one decides to not engage gee, it stops and entire workflow.
despite the continuous barrage of lunkheads exposing their misogyny and worse in these comments, the CNC saga is not about “the left side”, woman CEOs, or, saints preserve us, “woke ideology”. this is all late-stage capitalism and billionaires doing whatever they want, regular people be damned.
Don’t worry about your comment getting downvoted so much. That just means you’re speaking facts—and all the SL lovers had to activate drama mode and swarm it.
You know how the left side rolls: “You’re either with us or against us.” No room for nuance, just tribal reactions.
The leadership is pathetic here. I’ve never seen such a chaotic mess.
@aq great points. Why hasn’t the board taken any action to calm investors by making a change at the leadership level by now??? The fact that TRC put in a mini tender offer at $24/share just shows where Wall Street sees this heading.
If you already know your job is ending you at least have time to prepare. There are so many others who are otherwise unaware. Nobody is safe.
You're asking what happened to this place?
Honestly, it's the same thing that's currently happening to Cr--ker Barrel. The resemblance is obvious—anyone can see that both CEO’s look almost identical.
Centene has shifted its focus almost entirely to woke ideology. Nothing else seems to matter, as long as the board members, Drew, and the CEO get their cut.
What happened? Michael passed away and we went with a leadership team that su-ks. We all know they su-k. Then, they let everyone work remotely, dropped all their real estate and think that it is great. It’s why we have become disconnected. Only thing that saves this place is a clone of Michael.
When the line level workers lose their job here, any severance they get will be just enough to barely make ends meet. When SL loses her job here, she’ll walk away with millions to add to her millions. Yet, it’s the low level employees keeping this company going, ensuring that healthcare happens for thousands of people on the daily. Kinda hard to stay engaged and positive when that’s the imbalance we’re facing.
@OP This company isn’t worth staying engaged when they tell you that your job is ending at the end of the year and you hope you can find a new job before that happens. No the disengaged employees are NOT making it worse, what’s making it worse is seeing our jobs being outsourced offshore to India in front of our very eyes like a slap in the face and then being asked to check their work and make them better so they can replace us. That’s what’s worse!
People are going to loose their livelihoods. It's hard to stay positive and engaged when you have a family (and yourself) to take care of.
