Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Finally some decent news

SW's bad leadership seems to have been realized and she is leaving. Please take lady unlucky with her out the door

Yes she was a consumer marketer - we are a b to b company - that difference should have made her stop, listen and learn before implementing her playbook. Good lesson for anyone onboarding. Also paying all those influencers with no clear roi was irresponsible.

All of this from a bunch of wasted old tymers that can't find jobs outside of Fiserv. You all are just mad she has many degrees, great experiences and making more than your mediocre says. Half of you mediocre twits should be fired like NOW.

@e3 very very true. It was a total rinse and repeat job and it didn't work.

This is a quote from the Aflac article, "“Aflac is well known but not known well,” said Shannon Watkins, the company’s senior vice president over brand and creative services."

She made the exact same statement about Clover and Fiserv.

Drivel from SW Linked-In Profile:

"Proven, classically trained marketer consistently at the forefront of culture, and skilled at leveraging emerging trends to drive enduring brand relevance and growth. Award winning and expert in creating compelling, business driving advertising that moves hearts and minds. Breadth of innovation experience with depth in creatively leveraging digital media, data, and emerging technology to drive value. At the helm of multi-channel cross functional teams, proven track record of developing and nurturing a network of leaders and business owners to focus on, and deliver against, a set of common goals."

Not Plain English.

@OP she was terrible. Just took what she had done before and subbed in Fiserv- this for example https://www.seattletimes.com/business/how-a-duck-turned-aflac-into-a-household-name/

Now ML needs to end the ridiculously stupid DEI groups. They waste so much company money and employee time on explaining why they are different and should be treated as special from everyone else. Um, Ok, why don't you just do your job...you can celebrate your specialness outside of work with people who care about you.

@a6 DEI doesn't figure into this decision. She was a complete waste of space, had garbage ideas that were more for a clothing brand than a fintech and wasted a ton of money on useless locker room chats, expensive speakers and figureheads who do nothing.

She was another do nothing employee. Besides FB, leaving, I audibly cheered when I saw the email that she's leaving. I had a feeling she was next to go just based on the fact that ML ran that town hall himself flawlessly and didn't need to the executive board to report data.

I applaud the decision to get rid of her. Again, it's a question of fit and skill. DEI didn't factor into this. She truly smiled at her job and wasted resources as a result.

That was a disastrous phase for marketing overall.

She made some puzzling moves for sure. How much are we paying Tabitha Brown and what exactly has the Chief Empowerment Officer done for Fiserv?

I couldn’t agree with you more. This was the worst 2 hires. So happy she is gone. Let’s hope Lady Luck is shortly behind her.
