Are these wells truly profitable or is everything going international once again?

@ar then Chevron comes in and buys them, pi---s off local regulators and government, gets rid of the programs and practices that made those companies profitable, then implements their absolute mess of leadership, policies, and excel sheets and pretends that whatever money is managed to be squeezed from the husks of the previous company is because of their leadership. The only way for Chevron to survive is to get rid of anyone that has been with Chevron more than 20 years and seriously take a look at anyone who has been with them for more than 10.
Ain’t sh$& going international right now unless you work for a National Oil Company.
What a d-mb question. There are bad wells in bad areas, and there are good prolific wells. The Permian is delivering good cashflow in total. But there are areas we should just get out of because it’s not economic. The good outweighs the bad. Are horizontal wells truly profitable? Duh. There are many smaller companies with exclusively US onshore shale portfolio, making money from them.
I don't think this "permian plateau" will be sustainable nearly as long as leadership messages- I can tell you that.
