How many older Aetna people do they have left? Judge from that with a mix of younger folk so it isn't quite age discrimination.

I know couple of managers with zero technical background. They contribute nothing to the projects expect running some calls and admin work. I won’t be surprised if they are let go.

The math isn't working. The last round still hasn't added up to 2900.

CVS is beholden to changes in Federal law..Medicare mostly...and changes in retail.

As those numbers change so does the likelihood increase of layoffs.

I have nothing to do at work. They could get rid of half my team, and it wouldn’t make a difference. Hanging in there until I get laid off.

The reality is there aren’t any rumors currently going around of any upcoming companywide mass layoffs. I’ve been with the company for 15 years and every time there has been a mass layoff event, there were rumors that it was coming in the weeks leading into it.

We also just had an earnings call and usually mass layoffs are announced shortly beforehand so they can use the savings as a talking point to investors and avoid accusations of trying to hide bad news until after the call. So I’d say we’re safe short term. Of course smaller scale layoffs impacting specific teams or departments are always on the table based on changing business needs.
