Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

3 managers in 6 months...

This can't be normal, right? This is my first real corporate job, so I don't have much experience to go off. However, I've only been in this role for five, roughly 6 months. There have been multiple layoffs since I joined the company, is it always like this? I have had three different managers in the span of pretty much six months... what is going on?

I was part of the WellCare acquisition - but it wa super common there too. It was a regular joke that leadership would change about every 6 months - just enough that you’d have to start over with a new boss.

It's best to think of Corporate positions are temporary jobs. Almost seasonal.

Yes, very normal. Depending on how I count it, I have had 12 leaders this year. Welcome to Centene.

Just get comfortable with re-orgs every 9 months or so.

You kinda answered your own question. Multiple managers because managers were being moved and laid off. I am sorry this is your experience, but this is Centene now. Pre- Covid - sure, there were layoffs as happens with most companies, but since Covid and after Michael passed, it's been a complete dumpster fire. I don't recommend getting comfortable as there is zero stability or security working here - you will get blind sided if you do.
