She was trying to move faster up the ladder, could have waited a bit longer at Dollar General where she had the freedom to make an impact. It's good to be over ambitious , at the same time patience is equally important. Wish her good luck in the future.

Some of these replies are hilarious. She has worked IT in retail companies, none of them leaders in their specific domain, and she failed for most of them as well.

@a9w It’s understandable leadership changes can draw varying opinions, however I want to offer a different perspective based on working with her. She has a strong track record of leading large organizations through complex transformation efforts by consistently advocating for teams, standing by them, and by always putting company first through immense personal sacrifices. While people can have differing experiences, it’s necessary to acknowledge C-level roles require far more than deep technical expertise — they involve strategy, execution, business stakeholder alignment, and building high-performing organizations. Suggest to rethink comment!

@a9w I have worked with her, and I feel that you don't know what you are saying here. It's better to keep your mouth shut rather than spewing garbage. And AAP is a sinking ship anyways, I believe it was her decision to leave it, and I swear any good C level executive would do the same

I’m American and I worked with Shweta before. Honestly, what people are saying here doesn’t match my experience at all. She didn’t hire based on race. She hired people who could actually do the work and were capable.

She was tough sometimes, but fair and has a high bar. She held people accountable and the team got better because of it. Out of all the managers I’ve had, she was one of the good ones.

When she arrived at dollar general over the course of two years she hired like 80 Indians on H1B visas and no Americans.

It was crazy.

She is super fake person. Did not know anything about technology. I am surprised how AAP hired her as CTO (no sense of Technology). She should join politics instead, very good at that. AAP saved themselves by letting her go. I am really surprised how big organisations like these do not validate credentials of C level hires.

@av Can you share more about this? How can a globally accepted product’s data breach affect her? What wrong she did?
