Chevron has been PowerPoint, Excel, and meetings for a long time now. We lean on Noble, Hess, and any future acquisitions to do all the actual work.
My management spends all their time managing Power BI reports and PowerPoint slides too. They only emphasize the work in the SFA's and don't optimize the business value of the staff. It is disappointing to go to the leadership meetings and not see the the ELT objectives trickle down to the 1st level managers.
Apparently there are parts of the company that didn’t get cut deep enough then. This definitely isn’t true in my group.
ABU today 85% meetings, 10% worry about being found out and 5% coffee breaks.
