Your counting on Trump- what is your plan give him some stock so he will intervene? He doesn’t give a care about a poorly run company unless their are $$$ to be put in his pockets.

@nw Because people in Poland are not working "on shore" within in the United States. Hence, they are offshore. The distinction has to do with location. Perhaps you are thinking of internal resources (Bank employees) vs outsourced resources (contractors).

We can have onshore employees, offshore employees, onshore contractors (outsourced labor that is working within the U.S.), and offshore contractors (outsourced labor working outside the U.S.).

Common misunderstanding but offfshore does not automatically mean contractors.

We have several employees in England, Ireland and Poland who are all considered offshore.

We also have contractors who are based in USA (onshore), Canada (nearshore) and India/Philippines (offshore).

So if they decide to move Operations to Manila Philippe and workers are in directory, that’s not offshore. Got it.

Thank god Trump is stoppping jobs from moving out of USA

@nw Well I guess we don't understand. I thought 'offdhore' meant hiring employees that otherwise would have been in the United States in another country. Why is the directory relevant. I understand we do business (primarily Elevan) in other countries, so we need to hire there. With regard to the CRR position, from what I was told, it is replacing someone who worked in MN and will be doing reviews of Corporate & Commercial credits. But again, I don't necessarily know the definition of 'offshore' if you are saying FTE has something to do with it. Are you saying 'offshore' only counts if they are part time or employees via outsource?

Poland are FTE of US Bank - don't know why people keep referring to them as "offshore" - might want to check the company directory..

@f0 The bank is not offshoring call center employees to either India OR Poland. Try again. You get one more guess.

Somehow, I doubt Trump knows anything about a cr-p azzz little bank that is circling the drain due to extremely poor management and their decisions. The smart money pulled out of this dumpster fire a few years ago. We are just waiting for the scavengers to come along to pick the bones clean on this carcass.

At the end of the day the only thing that's really going to fight this are unions, regulations (which by the way Republicans and Trump hate so you'll never hear them talk about it unless of course it's against DEI and then they love regulation), or consumers actually caring about things that matter and refusing to do business with a company with the letters U S in its name and yet having lots of offshore employees.

@bw Did you read my comment? I said they are not offshoring TO INDIA, which is what OP is complaining about. My statement was true. Do you know where the contact centers DO offshore to? I didn't think so. Do your research before you spout of.

I have heard that CRR (credit review) is posting jobs in Poland. I guess the positive on that is they will be independent.

Yes Trump is definitely losing sleep at night over all these jobs going overseas.

Here's what is on his mind 99 prct. The other 1 prct is being friendly to whoever can get him rich or out of prison., so pretty much crypto scammers and shady people in israel.

@ak the man uses factories overseas but sure he's going to crack down on this. Okay. LOL

Also, how many languages do YOU speak? I give our Indian coworkers credit for being multilingual. A lot of the dev teams I deal with are offshore and they're wonderful people.

@ap Hahahah, not true. I know of one business line with a goal to have 60% of their contact center offshore. Basically anything that’s repetitive grunt work, ship it off and keep anything that could cost us serious money if we sc--w it up stateside.

Cheap labor basically. They pay them pennies on the dollar in India.

@ak Well the contact centers do not offshore to India so you'll be ok.
