And they want to tell employees to su-k it up and work super hard, for the good of the company; even though they are flat out telling you, you might get canned.
Really. How hard is anyone willing to work for a company that only cares about the board members and some execs getting their greedy little paws on more money.

Confirmed in an email from corpcomms yesterday. If there was a notice prior to that I missed it.

If they really took service awards away, it's very telling about the future on the company. They wouldn't do it if they had a long term outlook and cared about the employees. It would be easy to do if the service awards are completely meanlingless to execs because the company is going to be sold off within 2 years.

And they didn't make an announcement, so there are employees SUPER EXCITED TO claim their WELL DESERVED PRIzE who are just going to get fuc_ed again by this company.
Do what you can to take what is rightfully yours. Get away with as much as you possibly can before this company sells for best offer (cause they sure won't get top dollar).

Yes, the program was stopped with the beginning of the new fiscal year. I have a collegue who was 25 years in the company in early july. That’s how we learned about it.

The job is the reward.
You should be happy and feel blessed that you were allowed to work for OpenText.

Stop asking for decent competitive merit increase.
Stop asking for bonuses or stock grants.

Working for OpenText is the reward.

Mediocrity and conformity is rewarded at OT, not passion, not critical thinking. Because of this everyone is viewed as expendable. It’s a cultural of failure that needs to be addressed by new leadership.
