Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Former naviHealth

What is the outlook for SNF care coordinators for Home & Community Care Transitions (formerly naviHealth)? I am tempted to move on but don’t want to miss my chance at getting severance pay, especially with all of the recent talk about unprofitable Medicare Advantage plans. Also - anyone know when Humana is next scheduled to renew (or not renew) their contracts?

Any word on if Navi will be hit with this round of layoffs?

Move on and find something now before any RIF happens. I agree with others to not use anything related to naviHealth and Predict on your resume
. Too much bad press, lawsuits etc. You don't want to tarnish your name. Looking ahead of a layoff is always better and less pressure to just take a job because of the "have to" vs "need to." Also the market is saturated with those of us let go from the previous RIFs. Best wishes on your search.

@av No one with an intact cognition and sanity would put nHPredict in their resume. That algorithm is not something to be proud of. It is meant to confuse everybody - “Oh it’s just a guide for discharge planning. Oh do not use it but instead use your clinical reasoning”, says the leaders.

But then they hit you with all the metric goals of NRD, NOMNC, etc which are all dependent on the Predict.

Oh ge-z, if you have the opportunity to move on and get a different job, don’t let the possibility of getting a severance steer you off.

I am giving Home & Community Care about 5 years max, before it self-destructs.

@OP i am in the same role as you. I doubt there will be any RIFs anytime soon given they just took on the TX market. Ii am making my exit very soon. It is a soul su-king job.

Probably depends on whether you were part of the "patient transitions" - aka premature and unjustifiable discharge of very sick people from acute care - program that led to preventable deaths. All seriousness, I think you're still in demand, although I'd definitely advise against putting naviHealth or nhPredict on the resume.
