I heard several HR peeps got laid off just last week.
Then I see that Jackie Richardson, HR Executive is hiring several Talent Advisors.
My question is to Jackie and/or her team please.
Are the job postings just for show, because protocol require you to post ? In other words, are these job postings reserved for the peeps who just got laid off and having to re-apply for their old jobs back as a different job title?
Is posting for these jobs a waste of everyone's time?

Just another one of those “not a headcount reduction exercise” lies.
Layoffs are absolutely coming. Our SVP tried to gaslight us in his office hours this week when he changed his answer to a question about layoffs from "our headcount will remain flat" to "There's always uncertainty about headcount around this time of year." Keep your head down and don't get on any RTO/compliance/etc. bad lists and hopefully the odds will be in your favor.
The so-called "calm before the storm" feels more like the silence before a hit. EMG seems to be quietly setting the stage for another round of layoffs, and these job postings look less like real opportunities and more like placeholders for decisions already made behind closed doors. If this is part of their restructuring playbook reposting roles they’ve already earmarked, it’s hardly reassuring.
Over in ECIO, things have taken a turn for the worse. My manager has shifted into full-on micromanagement mode, picking apart every story and to-dos, nitpicking every Jira item, and even axing the scrum master and product owner roles. The atmosphere is tense, and the writing’s on the wall, something unpleasant is brewing.
If you notice they are looking for talent advisor for “high performers” and then “work force transition”.
Translation: if you didn’t get an EE or high meets, good luck and god bless, AI just took over your job.
