If I accept an Analyst job with this place, what is the chance of being laid off on day 1 with the Medicaid cuts and other BS going on?

@1b4 OP is a dum--ss
OP what was the reason for the “lol” part of your post?
The fact you put “lol” in your post means you don’t care.
Lol
I like, totally, hope you get laid off.

@eb Good advice.
Ive seen someone in here who said they accepted a position and by the end of training they were notified the position had been canceled.
It really depends on your situation. If you're unemployed, take the job. If you're in a secure job and are just looking for a change, I'd say pass. The job landscape is uncertain in many industries. For health insurance, add in more outsourcing and automation, including the growing use of AI, and the risk of being let go rises. If you're somewhere secure, stay for as long as you can. You don't want to be the person with the least amount of tenure and experience.
@OP probably safer at that level than supervisor or above, but it really depends on where you are. they told our (corporate) department 2 weeks ago we’d be adding people.
@a3 yikes. Thank you
Can’t say but my team of 12 went to 5 during the 2023 RIF and 4 of them were on the team for less than a month.
