Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

I’m fed up. Really, I am.

I’ve spent over ten years with Chevron. My 30 years and change career in oil&gas. I’ve weathered upheavals, tough times, endless reorganizations, and constant uncertainty. But through it all, there were always reasons to stay and push through.

This time, it’s different. It doesn’t just feel different. It is different.

The reorg will continue to be an endless pain in every sense. A record number of jobs are heading offshore. Opportunities and incentives for those of us left behind, especially here in the US, will be thinner than ever.

It’s going to be a very different world on the other side of this shift. And right now, I feel like I’m stuck on a sinking ship... except in this cycle, it’s only the lower decks that are going under.

If you are going to post on a US website, then use a US keyboard, "sŋiveling", the n in a US keyboard does not have an Indian letter. Please speak English when you are "working for us", you are a second class citizen in your "Caste" system.

Stop being a Bit#h, just do your work and all will be OK. Chevron is your employer, not your Preist or Life Counselor.
