why should we? Why are some still stressing about it? It is very obvious that it is best to move on to a new company because this place has no future and therefore I think there is no need to be frustrated by their bad decisions. It is wiser to spend your energy looking for new options.

Promo the underachiever because there are no good employees left to promote. That sounds like a winner of a company.
Leaders can leave or be kicked out with millions of bonuses and start over again looting some other company... While If I don't get my paycheck every month I'll go bankrupt in 6 months, that's why I care... And It's not that I hate the Company or neither I need to run away to make a point (who would care???), I just take my time looking for the perfect next job... Also, I have seen many people lately being promoted just 'cause they were the only ones left, that's also a good way to make careers progress in AIG nowadays :-)
If you remain at AIG after the February sti payment, then just shut up and come to terms that this is the best you can do. Accept that you are a loser and be grateful for whatever crumbs get thrown your way.
