Closing this facility has nothing to do with a lack of demand for the parts they make. P&W had to scramble to find new vendors.
These closings are about Hundreds of $ Millions in COPQ losses back in 2021 from components made as far back as 7 years ago.
Companies don't like to publicly say bad things about their facilities. Closing them says all they will say.
The moral here is Don't make bad parts if you don't want your facility closed.
