No, this company is just like MRO. Values contractors, not employees. Pays them $75/hr to push papers and mess things up. Usually find out later on they are half as qualified as their resume says they are and they actually know nothing compared to what they say they know.
It’s not always true that contingent workers or contractors are the first to go.
Layoffs are often a chance to address performance or behavior problems, whether it’s a long-standing issue or mistakes from a recent hire. Toxicity, negativity, or poor fit still count, and trying to change only when layoffs loom is usually too late.
