Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Laid off in 2024

My life has been nothing less than chaotic since I’ve been laid off. It has impacted both my mental health and my personal life. I’ve ups ki-led but still haven't been able to land a full time role. My biggest realization through all this is that whether it be former colleagues, friends, or family nobody truly cares. Hard pill to swallow but it has been a great lesson.

Honestly grateful to no longer be at that sh*t show of a company but I’d be lying if times haven’t been hard. For those wishing to be RIFd I totally get it but be careful what you ask for. I’m confident I’m going to bounce back in time but in reality for all those who have been laid off there are people who never do.

Its been difficult for me also, and I haven't found a new position yet either. Rif at the end of 2024. Since SUB pay ran out, i'm selling on Poshmark/Mercari to make ends meet. I'm trying hard not to feel hopeless, I know that the job market is cr-ppy... but i've never been unemployed this long before and its getting harder to feel like this will end.

Keep your head up! I was at my lowest low in 2021. My work life was he-l and I was in crippling depression. Times are tough in this market and requires really looking at things differently. You can’t lose if you don’t quit! Give a listen to David Goggins if you haven’t, completely changed my trajectory.

The current per-country cap for green cards would rise from 7 percent to 15 percent of the yearly total for both employment-based and family-sponsored categories.
