@150 You do have a point. Like it or not it will become UP with UP’s rules and culture. If you’re in middle management all the way up to somewhat high positions, your job is at risk. UP is not going to allow NS to keep all the same management in its new east region. They will fill a ton of positions with UP people. You could be a well regarded NS director, regional manager, it doesn’t matter, an NS name means nothing to UP. If someone from UP is willing to move out east and wants your job, it’s theirs.
Stop calling it a merger it's an acquisition... And yes UP will eliminate any duplicate depts... This means legal, HR, finance/accounting, in house IT support... Etc
