Does anyone know what states have already been affected and of plans for any other states?

@14e - I see what you are saying here ... HOWEVER .... the other piece of this " Big Ba----dly Bill " to be implemented by states by 2027 is the need for recertifications every 6 months. I would then see the need for INCREASED staffing to RETAIN the membership...no?
Kentucky, North Carolina so far
State of North Carolina just announced a $319 million cut to the Medicaid budget effective 10/1/25 with managed care plan rate cuts of 1.5% retroactive to 7/1/25. Would imagine of states will be implementing similar budget cuts.
@14e Not at all comforting considering this "shared services model" has analysts (at least in claims) working multiple states already. I already work 8 different states for Medicaid plus OT because they are in the red. They lay off more people, which just means fewer people to work, and either they increase OT or they suffer from getting hit with interest for being untimely. Really bad for those who get laid off, but not any better for those left behind. A-s backwards this company is.
@OP any state that opted into Medicaid expansion are going to be hit the hardest-just do a Google search to see which ones they are. I expect those states/health plans will be doing rolling layoffs through out 2026 since the federal funding pull officially begins 2027. Some of those members who will lose coverage may pivot to marketplace but that remains to be seen. More restructuring as well, i.e. "more with less"
