Are the layoffs enough to satisfy Chevron and Phillips 66 or will they demand a change in leadership? The desperation in the office is palpable.

We are ok with it and are doing it here. The same McKinsey partners that led the PSX transformation are now involved here at CVX, and previously led the CPChem PBD. COP are also going through their own transformation.
lol, you guys should go read the P66 layoff. It’s pretty clear that P66 leadership has no clue what they’re doing. They’ve single handedly ki-led any culture they had and people are jumping ship. Obviously that same mentality is trickling down to you.
We expect 2 more rounds. Reading tea leaves, looking for signs, on pins and needles. Wrecking morale. No coming back from this anytime soon. Owners have reasons+ to turn over 100% leadership, but a good one is to build morale back up. No one trusts the current leadership and HR, even if some of them individually and personally don't deserve to be un-trusted. At least with new leaders, there's a clean slate-- if they use it wisely, they can build us back up. It also might be a good lesson for complacent leaders to see they can also be victims of strategic thinking.
Also, interested parties are watching this shtshow and this platform is a go-to. We're embarrassing ourselves. Knock off the petty infighting over st that no longer matters.
The politics of failure have failed. We need to make them work again.
It was good while it lasted.
They want more layoffs. This won't be enough. I guarantee there will be more. Problem is they are laying off the wrong people.
