All this cesspool organization does is have people schedule meetings, and we have meetings about upcoming meetings.
Pathetic, embarrassing, "leadership"

@140 Too bad many don’t say anything clever. Instead they convoluted issues so they can sound profound when it’s usually the simplest solution that works.
Wow! Getting paid to go to meetings and say something clever. Get a real job if you can!
"Sorry I am triple booked" - who does that - worthless upper leadership to make themselves feel and sound important - they should wonder what people really think about them. Not much
How about the meetings that you accept and then the organizer doesn't show. I also would like to know the purpose of the emoji pop up that wants a rating. How is that useful?
Most people in a leadership role at EH try to fill up their Outlook calendars with meetings regardless of if they really need to attend the meeting, have anything to do with it at all, or if the meeting is meaningful. It is done to make them appear productive and busy.
You do realize this happens in every large corporation, right? Not trying to justify it, but this isn’t an ELV specific issue.
How about the “meeting after the meeting” where us worker bees would get together unofficially and figure out what leadership was talking about and how to do an end run around the roadblocks to get something done? Real efficiency there. So glad I’m retiring at the end of the year. Counting the weeks. I’ll miss the people, not the cr-p.
In Outlook, Expected Decisions and Outcome should be standard text fields for every meeting request and should be required fields (with a minimum of a complete sentence for each). Requiring organizers to complete those fields would curb half of all meetings. Requiring a document to be attached would cut that down to 10% of the meetings scheduled. And by the way, the meetings would move much faster.
Well everyone lies on their surveys now because we know they aren’t confidential and now we are all living in fear of being the next one riffed. The constant meetings are to kick the can of responsibility down the road because they are clueless on how to right this sinking ship. The reorgs further hide incompetence because leadership can say we just had a report and now we are ramping up these new orgs to be effective. It is just a constant mindfu-k and a pitiful way to try and show SLT accomplished something.
the trainings are such rehashed BS - if you have worked here for more than 10 yrs you remember "Be Here Now" where you got a little plaque to put on your desk to remind you when you were talking to someone to be present. Or check you slide "Mood Elevator" to help you manage yourself - Fascinating - I still have mine
Then you might remember when you were required to take Leadership Training done by several VP and/or Director III from Carelon - tell you about this "new and exciting approach called Be Here Now and Mood Elevator" - nothing new EVER -and you you called them out on this and the response is "now this is something new and different. Like we are id--ts -
@c8 Agreed 100%.
Endless meetings and re-orgs are a sure sign of total incompetence. They talk about things for years that never get done. It's total fraud!
They do surveys about how awesome all the meetings are. Oh, and they do trainings about cool the surveys are and how it's way mega ethical to just p-o away all the investor money into meetings about how someone somewhere will get something probably donen maybe, but for sure holistically, strategically and with full and total alignment across the organisation.
