I think it's becoming obvious that she can't fix the situation.

@1rq This. London just isn't up for the job. Centene is not the company for a first-time CEO. London was simply too young and inexperienced, and she mistakenly leaned heavy on Wellcare leader.
She's been sc--wing up this enterprise basically since day 1... focused on Medicare, focused on DEI, focused on culture. Never focused on the core business, never focused on actual operational performance.
I don't know why the Board and investors still tolerate her here. The longer she's here, the more short-term flailing and damage she'll do.
@zn completely agree with you on this - i believe it takes a mix of people to make things work; however women leaders at Centene, (VP, Senior Directors, etc.) have ruined Centene. like gasoline pa-ties going to he-l!
I agree! If Michael Neidhorff was still alive he’d never would have let this happen. London is incompetent and since taking over we’ve had one massive layoff after another! She’s trying to save face for her id--tic decisions!
@zg This pretty much sums up what I saw also. Scolding, brown-nosing, micro-managing, emotionally immature women who completely lose sight of the big picture and so we have to deal with panic and stress and brush fires. Look, no one is saying women can't or shouldn't be leaders, but either something is wrong with the selection process here or more balance is needed to level things out. Men and women both have bad tendencies as leaders and when you have too many of either you get issues like this.
@dw I totally get all of this and thanks for just throwing this out there. I won't do the WOKE or PC thing of attacking what you've written. Their woke comments are numbered and they are getting "one last blurb in..." okay!
So - I left the design IT/Marketing/research side of the house 3 years ago. It was all women running the leadership and it was a complete sh&t show. they all are over aggressive achievers and the same sh*t kept happening over and over - the real work never got completed and it was all little fires everywhere. I got out - and just watching the house of cards fall. so much fun!
"For all the noise around DEI at the company, it sure is weird how the vast majority of management are middle aged white women. Not exactly my idea of diversity."
Are you a racist? If I referred to middle aged Asian women as "middle aged yellow women", would this be OK?
Try using middle aged "European American women"! People are NOT crayons!
@dp agree. OP should leave and give the position to someone who wants it if they are this unhappy.
For all the noise around DEI at the company, it sure is weird how the vast majority of management are middle aged white women. Not exactly my idea of diversity.
@d3 I suggest you take the time to find out what DEI really means. hint: it isn’t the reason every woman/Black/qu--r person has their job. the “left” has nothing to do with current struggles of health insurance in general and Centene in particular.
Maybe you should find somewhere else to work.
@d3 well the right side just cut Medicaid and Medicare so yeah I’d say it makes sense for Centene to be on the side of the left
Whenever she finally decides to retire. Centene is still stuck in that whole DEI left side mentality.
Same way middle management with overpaid titles keep their jobs. Some titles don’t even make sense. They just throw six figure salaries at whoever they want to.
She ran me off. Top producer on my team leaving for a small nonprofit with a mission they actually strive for.
