Official now: workplace "loyalty" is dead

This should really incentivize younger employees to 'take the money and run':

Some takeaways:
1) What was MW's response to the latest employee survey? More cheesy "(the survey) identified areas for improvement"?
2) Chevron hasn't been "loyal" to its employees since the late 80's (and definitely since Chevron Way disappeared).
3) High performers bristle at this and leave, leaving lesser performers to run the company.
4) Career development hasn't been an official objective of Chevron for at least a decade now.
5) New hires (last 5 years): what were you told about this?

That article is exactly the reason Chevron is hiring the Indians for the Engine. They fit the new work contract, "no loyalty and best pay wins". i have heard the people we have offered jobs to in the Engine have a 90 day start date and they continue to shop for better offers before they start with Chevron. Then do not take the jobs they have been offered at Chevron when the start date is reached.
