Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Windstream is tearing up the neighborhood easement.

I noticed that Windstream is late in installing fiber. Why bother with the expense? They have no chance of competing with AT&T.

Putting fiber where there are already multiple fiber companies reminds me of consumer clec and that business model turned out well.

@f9 AT&T has been courting Kinetic and I guess now Uniti since salespeople were authorized to sell AT&T wireless and bundle credits were introduced, credits that AT&T are paying for. It’s gonna happen.

This is crazy talk. How could a software powerhouse, run by some of the best business minds in the world, nay, universe, be slow to the game

Competition is never a bad thing. It helps to keep costs in check. But agreed, Windstream is usually slow to the game.

I'd rather have the competition.

I have both AT&T fiber and G Fiber in my yard. Cant stand either company.

I have gig Internet via coax from my cable provider. Only one short period of downtime in 12 years.
