If I could give one piece of advice to my younger self, it would be to run far away from this place. The stress, the politics, the toxicity, I think I've been damaged by it all beyond repair. I thought I was building a solid foundation, but it set me back instead. Biggest mistake I ever made.

What is stopping you from change jobs now, you don’t have a contract where you will lose a ton of money if you leave e!
If you can find another Employer that will pay you what you think you are worth (BTW your not) then do it !
I wonder if my younger self will say. You had enough money to just quit IT entirely probably 5 years before you did. Or well suffer such a financial or world catastrophe that it's all irrelevant anyway. I'd still rather go with a package. But won't think twice if one crops up now.
