Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

DO NOT WORK AT STATE FARM AND FIND A WAY OUT!

Heed this warning! Corporate America and especially SF is the king of propaganda, lies and deceit. Frankly just evil. So what they are doing is slashing the workforce to absolute bare bones, trashing your benefits and pay. They will over estimate the impact of AI and then have to back pedal but it will be too late. AI and automation will eliminate tons of jobs (U/W,ILR/Express etc..) but will create additional issues for higher performing functions. In the next 2,3 to 5 years unemployment is going to go through the roof and all these low skilled, low wage employees are going to vote with their pocket books. On top of that, the thoughts of home ownership and owning a car will go out the window for most people as it already has. SF will start to evaporate overnight as its market to sell products will disappear. Corporate America is literally signing its own death warrant across all industries in terms of having a viable customer and employment base. All the efforts to return manufacturing to the US is a pipe dream. The Execs that run SF and most of Execs/CEOs are absolute pieces of sh-t that have sold their souls and as always bring about their and our demise. If you are thinking about working here or not close to retiring, leave this place as soon as you can and get out of corporate America. Find a real skill or actual trade. The Toxic EOM, LEAN, AI, DEI, Woke, Preferred Pro-Nouns, Drop-Files, Action Plans, 1x1s, SXS, TPD, Huddles, Standards, Proper Behaviors, Accountability Cycle, Templates, Metrics, Trends, Belonging, Connectivity, Culture, Red Standard, Modernization, Up-Skilling...blah blah blah.... and just all the other untold chaos and utter mindless bullsh-t will absolutely destroy your soul unless you are willing to sell your soul to the devil/SF. Find a way out and have a plan!

@bj FMLA is maxed at 12 weeks. Since you can't even get that part correct I can only assume the rest of your post is bullsh-t fantasy as well.

I just used my 26 weeks of FMLA and a month in on my 6 months worth of STD. I've been working part-time for Progressive and making some bank double dipping. I'm trying to get out of the insurance industry all together but still giving this a try. Progressive is a lot better but still very metric driven and are adding a bunch of new people. Several ex-SF people here. Everyone including our leadership makes fun of SF and knows it's an absolute sh-t show laughing stock of the insurance industry.

Yes, I survived the Legacy to Future state migration and watched them try to weed out the Section Managers. They did a good job hiding it, threw in a couple of younger people, an occasional minority, spread out the women and men.....just enough to throw off the lawsuits. They are doing the same thing now with the reassignments as about 75-80% are people with a lot of tenure with a few exceptions sprinkled in to make it look good. They know just about everyone, with any tenure, is just begging for a severance package. We know they will never do it as so many people would flood out, it would shut the place down and make national news. These people are the worst I have ever experienced and it is only going to get worse. Get out while you can

Layoffs this year..... just to name a few! SF hides it as it just bends you over and forces people out through reassignments, early retirement and the so called accountability cycle. Place is a total sh-t show! "we never have layoffs". Re-ards!
