I hear August and January changes coming but i wouldn’t be surprised if we see 10-20% of the work force gone. In the end the Directors and high level leadership decide who they keep! Human Resources doesn’t have any involvement.

Why are they hiring more people if they are planning to layoff ? Is it going to be hire to fire or Last in First out situation?

IT changes are coming week of August 11th. IT all hands on August 14th will be leadership talking about how tough decisions need to be made to keep TMO competitive. Etc….

Sounds like August 11th changes will be a combo of reshuffling teams between Omar, Sailesh and Jeff’s orgs. RTO violators let go, and remote employees told to work from a campus or your gone. Also Director and VP reductions to flatten orgs.

January wave focused on Sr Managers makes sense as a next step to flatten even more and release remote employees who aren’t willing to move to a campus.

The Big 5000 layoff of 2023 was done in September...over a four week period, so as not to overburden HR...

I wouldn’t doubt it! T-Mobile has a history of consistent layoffs in July and January every year.
