Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Happy to be retired

I wrapped up my time at Chevron after more than three decades last month and called it a career. The day I stepped away, I knew I was done for good. Corporate life takes a toll, but what’s been happening lately is something else entirely. I won’t lie, I’m grateful Chevron gave me financial freedom, but it also ki-led any desire I had to ever return to that world.

Career corporate jobs at any company ki-l your desire to come to corporate. As an experienced hire coming from a small company, I can tell you that coming from there also ki-ls your desire to ever go back to one of those small companies with bosses cursing at you. Pick your poison.

OP....I left in 2020 after 30 plus years as well. It's a great thing. The company just isn't what it used to be. Enjoy!
