Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Why are you still there?

I walked away from Gainwell two years ago and haven’t looked back. If you’re still hanging on hoping things will magically improve, you’re wasting your time. Nothing changes unless you leave. Nothing. That was the best move I ever made, both for my career and my sanity.

I agree with previous poster’s statement. Your career field, age, etc, play a determining factor on how quickly you can find another job.

Everyday I feel less of a person and knowing that there is a deliberate effort by those above to keep in my place doesn’t make the work day any better.

I've been consistently looking for a new job for over the past year, with no luck. I'm still trying. You should really consider that there are plenty of people who are trying and considering the job market right now, it's not as easy as it used to be.

Gainwell is bad for your mental health, it's a textbook case of corporate malfunction. As a previous poster said it's continuous gaslighting, mind games and politics. My account was already proficient at those things when Gainwell took over, but it got much worse under Gainwell. I have no idea what can be salvaged from the current wreckage, but I hope all the good workers find a good place to land.

I love the fact that Gainwell is so diverse they both promote and practice 'Feudalism'. Knowing one co-worker might get treated better than another. Or one can get away with anything they want while another might get called on any and every fault that can be found. Well it's just exhilarating

Why would anyone want to leave Gainwell. You would miss the politics, mind games, gas-lighting. That's intra-departmental as well inter-departmental by the way. Double the fun. The 50 questions of Gotcha is blast for the whole family. And not let us forget about 'Pass the Buck'. Which is my all time favorite.

I left about a year ago. That was the best move I ever could have made. The sky is so much more blue. Food tastes better. I can smell nature. I sleep better.

That company is going to continue downward. No need to belabor all of the specifics that have been brought up here before. There simply is no upside to continuing to work there.

Party on OP!

my case, which is probably similar to others.... because I haven't found anything yet.

@OP, Always glad to hear someone managed to escape this god forsaken place. Congrats!!

I haven't found another job yet. Only reason I'm here.

It's remote work and I get paid to do nothing. The management is incompetent and they too are doing nothing. I have a second job I work at the same time. It's a win win.

@OP If I was 5 years younger, I would be looking for a new job. Unfortunately finding gainful employment when in your 60s is not an easy task as age discrimination is real. My hope is to hang on for a few more years. I figure I can tolerate anything for a year or two.

Glad to hear that others like yourself are landing well.
