@a6 what role is considered critical???? I am UM
@aq 40 yrs experience and not BILINGUAL and that is now (apparently) a non existent (wink wink) job requirement! Pure discrimination at its finest!
@az Center Administrators
@aq what are CA's?
So is it 5k AND 2 weeks per service year? Some in my area were only offered the 5k with no service year benefits.
ER package is not enough, if they tax it to death then what's the incentive here? I hardly consider the 5k a lump, maybe a freckle but definitely not a lump.
@ak How many people in IT or the EIP group mentioned are being offered early retirement? Any specific areas in IT or the EIP group?
@ar I'm in EIP. We got an email saying that pretty much all of EIP were deemed ineligible. So someone just took the lazy way out and deemed entire departments "critical" rather than based on individuals. Typical.
@aq If you have been with Humana for many years, and keeping similar roles, you're severely underpaid! They offer new hires much higher salaries. Inflation beats Humana's annual salary increase.
@a9 what is your role?
@ah Care Nav here too and wait until you realize how much those incompetent CAs make, the pay scale is up to 130k and many if not most of them have no formal education. I can name 3 that are MAs. I have a BSN and I'm at 90.
Same here!
@ak I was in IT previously, my leader then told me RIFs won't apply to us as how critical it is to Humana Business. Well, treat these people better then to justify their criticality!
I am super excited to see this ERB offer from Humana. Not preparing to leave so early, but as discussed on this website, work is becoming harder and harder and getting to people's mental health and well-being. For sure I'll take it.
@ag I am in IT, EIP, enterprise information protection
In the sample it states there is a no compete clause. Is there a way around this if our skill set is health or insurance specific? Some of us may still find work elsewhere.
@ab “CareNavigator” CW in other words step child getting S**T on daily from incompetent CA’s rude MA’s and clueless MD’s
Was considering but at 50 with 25+ years what’s the point - I was hoping the extra weeks would be beyond the 52 weeks (52 + 4, 12 or 26 weeks depending on current role) but it all still stops at 52. Curious which areas the critical roles are since seeing that a lot here. I don’t know it’s all scary.
@ae 60 is even harder to be RIFed, consider that. This early retirement deal is a preclude to RIFs. The early deal will pay out more than the RIFs would.
I'm in CIT/CW and unfortunately, not eligible due to age but noticed that the directors for CIT are. We only have 2 directors nationwide and only one of them is over 50. Kudos for Humana for finally targeting the "uppers" vs the little guys, like usual.
Another thought: this is H's way of getting rid of older folks.
Wish I could take it but at 60 hard to get another job… can’t do it
WHY did I receive an email when I'm not eligible. This communication is terrible. My email said I'm in a "select group" but them not eligible. F this, I was so ready to sign up!
@a9 if the role is "critical" does that mean no chance of RIF for that role?
What roles are you in that are “critical” & not able to accept the offer???
Max of 52 weeks and $5k. Apparently my role is also critical. Maybe tha promotion that I have been told was in the works for almost 2 years will be coming soon.
That was my plan too but I just got the email saying although I fit the requirements my role is critical so I'm ineligible. What a joke.
@OP ugh!!! Not eligible as I hold a “ crucial role “!!! Then TREAT me as such!!! I’m so ready!!!
How much is the lump sum payout.
My email said I’m otherwise eligible but my role is critical to business continuity. Does anyone know what this actually means?
Definitely considering it. Wish the lump sum payout was more than $5k.
