This merger is good for the shareholders, and good for America if Chuck Schumer is against it.

NS managers should consider going back to their tools if they have any seniority.
The new headquarters will be in Omaha, and the purpose of the Atlanta building will certainly not remain the same. Maximizing the new UP share price must be the goal, as it should be. The investors’ interests must come first, same as they were on NS, however there may be some goodwill extended toward the city of Atlanta.
Atlanta HQ isn't going anywhere
Hopefully the Atlanta HQ can be re purposed. Maybe condo’s or something ?
The Canadian CEO running UP hopes many will quit if they are told to move to Omaha. The only thing colder than a Nebraska winter is Vena's heart
I personally believe the conditions are favorable for a merger this time. The Politicians currently in Washington and the timing are making it look very probable.
It really Su-ks honestly but a Transcontinental RR I can see. Nobody knows what will be closed or changed until it happens. I do believe NS Management/Office Personel will suffer the most. The Operation will be cut and streamlined even more. Thats what PSR is about. Cut it to the bone and try to make it work. I feel for the Young Guys. Heck I need 6 more years and the way AI is going Im not so sure I will make it.
HQ will definitely be gone, Inman Yard will probably remain a main point due to their location in the south east. . Locations closer to UP terminals will be at risk. This takeover will happen soon and Trump's STB will approve.
Just saying
