Belk is now hiring ‘window dressing’ managers and executives, knowing very well that they are woefully unqualified. This has really become evident when store managers or RVP’s (and higher) and unable to respond to basic questions and give what is known as a ‘non answer word salad’ which leaves most just scratching their heads. FYI a ‘window dressing’ manager is someone hired who has no real knowledge or expertise but is placed in a position to make an organization look successful.

Went to another store to buy some makeup, and the beauty counter manager didn't know how to issue an employee discount. I was floored.
You got that right. One of the managers in my store does not even know how the coupons work. And the store manager tries to pit the associates against each other. And the RVP thinks that making announcements to an empty store will make a difference.
