Has anyone heard rumours of large scale restructuring at Pearson over summer/autumn 2025? I have a feeling Pearson will announce this as part of their half year results within the next week. Thoughts?

@1nr No, if you read the transcript this is in response to the number of “roles” that there were - 1600 - and there are now 180: they’ve just streamlined roles so there are less descriptors, not less people. It does reference having already ‘lowered headcount’ but not as a future plan, and not to the extent you’re suggesting.
Watch the 2025 interim results video. O references decreasing headcount from 1600 to 148.
@1gp Source?
Sales is going to get a big shake up soon.
@OP I had 2 colleagues who were let go today. Funny that their roles were missing from the new role library that was published on 29th July!
Well, I and a couple of co-workers got laid off today.
When your company pushes access to LinkedIn and has a Chat bot design your career architecture do you think you're a valuable human employee?
Big changes coming with sales, sales ops, event management, adding responsibilities on top of what employees are already handling, marketing instability, budgeting, travel, reporting, etc. Btw, how was your merit increase this year? Distractions and more distractions.
Anyone hear any rumblings about it today?
No official news, but it’s probably on the way. They did say “three quarters won’t be affected” by the new strategy earlier this year. Just happening slowly enough that people don’t all freak out at once.
But who needs income when you’ve got guided meditations and unlimited access to emergency assistance?
