After the gutting of most shops in UP, seniority didn't matter, there is Zero jobs in Car Shop in Palestine, Texas.

The only "buyout" you'll get is a 2k transfer allowance to a UP shop out West, if you're lucky.
Most mechanical will be outsourced. UP will keep 10% of electricians and 5% of machinists, everyone else will be offered non union composite mechanic jobs with Wabtec for $21/hr.
That won't apply to many people. Most of the workers will be ok. The Atlanta people would be in trouble.
Let the buyouts begin!
