Still waiting to find out if I’ve got a job bit of a nail-biter, that one. Been a solid run, really. Haven’t delivered much in years, but I’ve mastered the art of looking busy. Couple of strolls between buildings, a few well-timed conversations, and the odd meeting where I nod at the right time goes a long way.
Effort-wise, I like to keep things lean. Delegation is key. If someone else can do it, why should I? And if they do it well, even better I’ll take it from here and present it up the chain. Culture’s important too. That’s why I’ve quietly let two bullies grow under my watch. Builds resilience, right?
Anyway, here’s hoping they keep me on. Would be a shame to lose all this momentum and have to look for a real job.
Unless 70% of them go it's been a waste.
