Van Nuys in LA shutting down at the end of September 2025

“The defense contractor announced the closure of its Van Nuys facility in Los Angeles in a WARN filing on July 18, as is generally required in the event of mass layoffs and site closures. The document said the L3Harris layoffs will begin at the end of September, with additional rounds at the end of 2025 and the end of September 2026. Along with 145 local workers, four employees in other states were included in the WARN.“

Some of the work is being moved to Clifton. But, interestingly enough, there is still a freeze on hiring and no new positions will be needed to do this work.
