Was displaced in February and found a remote job with a regional bank in the Carolinas. Big pay cut but great culture and wonderful people.

There are some, but you are competing against more applicants and they generally pay less. That pay cut could be worth it though since you don't have to commute.

I was looking for remote jobs for many months, and sent dozens of resumes with zero response. Finally a recruiter cold contacted me through LinkedIn and I ended up getting the job.

I have my resume on LinkedIn, I suggest those that don’t should put it up there.
Just don’t leave Wells for a remote job only, make sure it’s a good fit. You may regret leaving wells. There is BS everywhere.

they do exist but fewer and far between. there are even some smaller banks that still offer remote as an option. one of the issues I've encountered is that every job posting that advertised remote is inundated with applications. if these large corporations had half a brain they would allow remote and use it as a recruitment tool to poach top talent. I'm just thankful we are still hybrid. While it may not last forever, I'll take what I can get while I can get it.
