I think everybody has heard the news by now that TD is bringing everyone back to the office four days a week starting this fall. Leaders in October, everyone else by early November. Apparently it's about “effective collaboration,” but no real explanation beyond that.
It seems like they're just following the other big banks. Most of us have been doing just fine remotely, and now we’re expected to change everything without much notice or flexibility.
People on my team are already talking about whether it’s worth staying. Not everyone can (or wants to) commute four days a week just to sit in meetings that could be remote anyway.
I think this is a huge mistake.
