Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

26 Operation centers down to 13

SF closed 13 operation centers before covid and moved those jobs into the hubs. They paid severence packages out at each office. Why not continue closing the 13 operation centers left one at a time and offer severence packages to the employees that were assigned to the office. Yes all the offices are closed, I know. But continue the plan as if they were not. DO THE RIGHT THING AND OFFER SEVERENCE PACKAGES.

It will never happen. They will never be able to move all jobs into the hubs. The new woke employees aren't staying. There is nothing to keep them here. No pension. 1 day holiday at Xmas. Can't ever get vacation days. Get assigned a thousand claims and micromanaged. Why would they stay.

You know I hate smart a-s woke employees that come on here and have no idea wtf they are talking about. No one ever said hoping for a severence or a union in this post. I'm sure people would rather have their job. I don't know where your from but there are a lot of places that these operation centers are at that dont have a lot of choices for work. Some people have a career here and it's to late to start over. There are many reasons that if we are going to lose our jobs that we want to keep that, a severence would help and be the right thing since they did that for all the other offices they shut down. Also, these operation centers had workers drive in for an hour to work there from rural towns that literally have no jobs. So Let me speak for those employees when I say STFU.

How many years of your life have you wasted hoping for severance, or a union?

Isn't it time you manned up and took charge of your life?

I forgot, what was the severance?

If you had 5 or more years of service, you got a week pay for each year over 5?

If I was so unhappy in my job, I wouldn't stay working in hopes of a couple of dollars that MIGHT come to me someday.

I would move out of my parents basement and find another job I was happy with.
